Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-10-05

These terms apply to the account and paid services you use on Trigpoint (trigpoint.pub, "the site"), including Trigpoint Pass and support payments. The services are provided by Strategitect Limited ("we"). By opening an account or completing a payment, you agree to the parts of these terms that apply to you.

1. The service

1.1 Some content on the site can be read without payment. Which content is public, and when, follows the rules published on the site.

1.2 Trigpoint Pass ("Pass") is a membership billed yearly or monthly. The yearly and monthly plans carry different benefits; the benefits are those listed on the Pass page: the verification and case layers, and early reading of new shelves.

1.3 Member content grows as the shelves grow. We may revise, correct or withdraw individual items (for example, to correct an error someone reported); this is not a failure of the service.

2. Accounts

2.1 Opening an account is free. You sign in with your email. You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

2.2 You may set a public name for your account, and you can change it once for free. You must set one before you can be credited by it. Name rules follow those published on the site.

2.3 You can delete your account at any time. A deleted account cannot be restored. Deleting the account also ends that account's Pass membership, without a refund. If you only want to stop paying, turn off renewal instead (section 4). If the Pass still renews automatically, you must turn off renewal before you can delete the account.

3. Subscription and payment

3.1 Pass is priced in US dollars and paid through Stripe. We do not see or keep your card details.

3.2 The subscription renews at the end of each billing period you chose (yearly or monthly), at the price in effect at renewal.

3.3 A price change applies only to renewals after the change. We will email you at least 30 days before your renewal date; a billing period you have already paid for is not affected. Where the Pass page lists a price lock for yearly subscriptions started within a stated period, those subscriptions renew at their locked price for as long as the yearly subscription continues without a break; the lock ends if you switch to the monthly plan or the subscription ends.

3.4 If a renewal payment fails, membership is paused until the payment goes through.

3.5 You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that the payer is under 18 and does not have that consent, we may end the membership and refund the payment.

4. Cancellation

4.1 You can turn off renewal at any time, through the "Manage your subscription" link on the site or by emailing hello@trigpoint.pub.

4.2 After you cancel, the subscription does not renew; membership for the period you have paid for continues until that period ends.

4.3 Cancelling does not lead to a refund (see section 5).

5. Refunds

5.1 Pass and support payments are not refundable once paid, except in the cases set out in sections 3.5, 5.2, 5.3 and 9.

5.2 Membership that cannot be used: after a successful payment, you cannot activate or read member content for a reason on our side, and we have not fixed it within 7 days of your telling us. In that case we refund the payment in full. Email hello@trigpoint.pub within 7 days of payment, with the email you paid with and the receipt number.

5.3 If a support payment comes with a public message and we do not publish the message, we refund that payment in full (see section 6.3).

5.4 You agree to immediate access to digital content after payment, and you understand that, to the extent applicable law allows, you therefore no longer have a statutory right to withdraw from that payment.

6. Support payments and public messages

6.1 A support payment is a voluntary payment for content you have read, at US$2 per unit, for as many units as you choose. It carries no membership benefit: it does not unlock content, give early reading, or affect the order or outcome of how we handle corrections or notes.

6.2 With a support payment you may add a public message and a name; both are optional. After editorial review, the message appears in the "From supporters" section of the node page (or shelf page) where you paid. That section shows only the message, the name and the date it was published, not the amount.

6.3 We may decline to publish a message, including advertising, personal attacks, infringing or unlawful content, or content unrelated to the site. If we decline it, we refund that payment in full under section 5.3.

6.4 If a message contains a correction or counter-example about our content, we handle it through our normal note process, separately from the support payment.

6.5 You can email us at any time to have your message taken down; taking it down does not lead to a refund.

7. Using member content

7.1 Membership is personal to you. It may not be transferred, shared or resold.

7.2 Member content is for your own reading and work. Without our written consent, you may not republish it, publish it, download it in bulk, or give it to others (including as data for training or feeding an AI system). Content available only to members is member content, and this section applies to it, until it is made public. The reprint rules for public content are in the footer of each page.

7.3 Member content carries a trace mark bound to your account, used to identify the source of a leaked copy.

7.4 If you breach this section, we may end your membership without a refund.

8. Nature of the content and liability

8.1 The content of the site organises and interprets knowledge. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

8.2 We work to verify the content and correct errors in public, but we do not promise that it is free of error or fit for your particular purpose.

8.3 To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for the service is limited to the total you paid us in the 12 months before your claim.

9. Changes to or ending of the service

9.1 If we end the Pass service, we will tell members at least 30 days in advance and refund the unused part of the period in proportion.

9.2 We may change when shelves open, how shelves are grouped, and when each layer opens. If such a change reduces what you can read during a period you have already paid for, you may cancel and receive a proportional refund for the unused part of that period.

10. Changes to these terms

10.1 We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the site and emailed to members, and apply from your next renewal.

11. Governing law

11.1 These terms are governed by the law of Hong Kong. Nothing in them affects mandatory consumer protections given by the law where you live.

12. Contact

Strategitect Limited. For questions, cancellations or refund requests, email hello@trigpoint.pub.

13. Language

13.1 These terms are available in Chinese and English. If the two versions differ, the Chinese version prevails.
